Dan Le Batard is raising eyebrows with his comments on the recent ESPN layoffs, which included the controversial personality Ryan Clark. Le Batard, known for his outspoken political views, voiced his perspective on Friday’s show, targeting OutKick while discussing the situation.

OutKick reported that ESPN planned to terminate Ryan Clark, breaking the news before ESPN could. Reporter Bobby Burack was informed of the decision ahead of the network’s official announcement. ESPN’s response was to pull Ryan Clark off air and pitch the story to The Athletic, leading to scrutiny over their handling of the situation.

Following this, Jemele Hill criticized OutKick and Burack, with Le Batard joining in with a racially charged commentary. He stated, “Disney and ESPN somehow keep getting called too woke. All the journalists are out the door now. All of the Black people, or almost all of the Black people who were actually going to say things that Black people agree with strongly, all of them are gone too.”

Le Batard’s Remarks on OutKick

Le Batard further criticized OutKick, saying, “It’s fairly shocking to see Ryan Clark let go in that fashion. To embarrass a proud Black man at the end because an institution covered in s–t stains does the reporting.” He accused ESPN of failing to properly address Clark’s exit.

Accusations against OutKick of being “dishonest” were not backed by evidence. Le Batard did not respond to requests for clarification regarding his allegations. While sports media outlets may have errors in reporting, claiming OutKick is “fake” media lacks validity.
