Denise Richards’ Facelift Journey and Family Reactions

Denise Richards has candidly discussed her facelift. The 55-year-old actress, known for “Wild Things,” underwent the procedure in 2025. She opened up about her dramatic transformation, the impact of her divorce, and her daughters’ reactions.

Richards, who first had breast implants at 19, ventured into facial surgery for the first time. In her conversation with Allure, she expressed her desire to restore her appearance to its former state. She noted, “I wanted to put things back up, where they were before.”

Facing the public eye since her 20s, Richards acknowledged the difficulty in hiding such a drastic change. “I was terrified,” she admitted, aware that people had seen her age.

Richards described the difference in her appearance as “night and day” post-surgery. She mentioned that after her own facelift, other celebrities felt more at ease sharing their cosmetic experiences with her, though she chose not to name them.

The facelift, Richards revealed, involved entrusting her face completely to Dr. Ben Talei. She told him, “You’re the artist. Whatever you want to do.” However, challenges emerged soon after as she began dealing with her divorce just 10 days post-surgery. Despite this, she managed her recovery, noting improvement over time.

Aaron Phypers filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences, and a temporary restraining order was soon in place. Richards mentioned an incident where her ex disclosed her facelift, alleging it was botched, though she dismissed such claims as absurd.

The procedure sparked concern among her daughters. Initially, they disagreed with her decision, fearing she was too young. Richards explained, “My oldest daughters were not happy that I was doing it. But I think now they understand, and they see that I still look like me.”

This family discussion touched on a previous disagreement between Richards and her daughter about a nose job, highlighting the irony. To her daughter Sami, who mentioned past objections, Richards explained the difference between their situations. “I’m not trying to change the way I look; I’m just trying to put things back,” she clarified.

Richards shares her daughters Sami and Lola with ex-husband Charlie Sheen and is also the mother of adopted daughter Eloise.
