Dez Bryant Reacts to Knicks Fans Blaming Trump for Game 3 Loss

2 weeks ago 0

Former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant found amusement in the reaction of New York Knicks fans after their team’s loss in Game 3 against the San Antonio Spurs. Some fans chose to blame President Donald Trump, who attended the game, for the defeat. The match ended with a score of 115-111 in favor of the Spurs, with Trump present among the audience at Madison Square Garden.

The Knicks struggled with turnovers, committing 13 throughout the game, and shot 45% from the field. The Spurs, on the other hand, were slightly better, shooting 46% and only turning the ball over eight times. Despite this, some fans focused their frustration on Trump’s presence rather than the Knicks’ performance.

Bryant addressed the situation on social media, saying, “That’s what you Knicks fans get for hating on President Trump!” His remarks were made in a post on X. Trump received a significant response from the crowd, contrasting sharply with his previous appearance at the college football national championship in Florida earlier that year.

Bryant faced criticism for allegedly supporting Trump, but he dismissed the accusations. In response, he wrote, “Whatever personal problem you got with Trump.. IDGAF! go beat your face on the concrete if it makes you feel any better!” He further added, “With all due respect.. I don’t spend my time focusing on politics.. I don’t know what he deserves!”

The Knicks’ loss also brought attention to the foul disparity during the game. Head coach Mike Brown expressed concern over the free throw attempts, where the Spurs had 24 attempts in the second half compared to the Knicks’ eight. “First of all, I want to make sure I get something clear,” stated Brown. “Coach Mitch Johnson and the Spurs. They won the game tonight. They came and took the game.”

Brown rarely complains about officiating but noted, “I never thought I would be in the NBA Finals and see a team get 24 free throw attempts in the second half to another team’s eight. I don’t think I complain much about officials or the fairness when it comes to the free throw attempts.”
