1 hour ago 0

The tragic death of 12-year-old Jacob Freytes in the Bronx due to a stray bullet has spurred his family to demand justice and call for stricter crime laws in New York City. Jacob’s mother, Migdalia Martinez, and sister, Angelica Coriano, shared their agony and urged reforms while appearing on the show ‘Fox & Friends’. They expressed frustration at the suspect’s extensive criminal history, emphasizing that career criminals seem to feel more secure currently than the public.

Meanwhile, a separate tragic incident occurred in North Dakota, where Kailey Erhart, 22, allegedly took the lives of her two young children after a violent altercation with her estranged husband. The violent act left even seasoned officers who arrived at the scene deeply shaken.

Erhart allegedly stabbed her 5-month-old and 3-year-old children. Her 1-year-old also suffered severe injuries and required surgery. Police Chief Jason Ziegler described the crime scene as one of the most horrific in his career, acknowledging the profound impact on the families and first responders.

Prior to the attack, Erhart had threatened her husband with a gun she bought recently. After a physical struggle, her husband managed to disarm her. The incident unfolded later as Erhart chased her children’s father and grandmother with a knife before allegedly committing the horrific act.

Judge imposed a $3 million cash bond on Erhart, citing the seriousness of the allegations and the potential risk posed to the community and victims. Erhart faces multiple charges, including two counts of murder and attempted murder. Court also put in place no-contact orders to prevent Erhart from reaching out to surviving family members or victims.

An online fundraiser has been set up to assist the surviving child and their father. The campaign aims to help the father navigate this painful tragedy and provide necessary care for the injured child. The fundraiser, which had collected more than $25,000, describes the father as a loving parent enduring an unimaginable tragedy.
