FOX Sports is marking the nation’s 250th birthday with a two-day military salute ahead of Veterans Day. Starting at 10 a.m. ET on Saturday, November 7, ‘Big Noon Kickoff’ will broadcast from the United States Military Academy at West Point. Hundreds of uniformed cadets will join college football fans in honoring the U.S. armed forces.
The celebration continues at 11 a.m. ET on Sunday, November 8, with ‘FOX NFL Sunday’ broadcasting live from West Point and the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, set against the iconic Bancroft Hall.
The broadcasts of both ‘Big Noon Kickoff’ and ‘FOX NFL Sunday’ will occur on November 7-8, just before Veterans Day. ‘Big Noon Kickoff’ will showcase Rob Stone, Urban Meyer, Matt Leinart, Brady Quinn, Mark Ingram II, Chris ‘The Bear’ Fallica, and Tom Rinaldi at Trophy Point on West Point’s campus. This event precedes the Army and Air Force matchup.
‘FOX NFL Sunday’ will feature Curt Menefee, Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, Michael Strahan, Rob Gronkowski, Jay Glazer, Charissa Thompson, Charles Woodson, and Julian Edelman broadcasting from both military academies.
FOX Sports CEO Eric Shanks emphasized, ‘FOX Sports is proud to expand our tradition of honoring America’s military heroes by uniting two iconic pregame shows for a two-day tribute from West Point and Annapolis.’ Shanks highlighted the significance of the military institutions as a backdrop for celebrating America’s veterans and the relationship between military service and sports during Veterans Day weekend.
