Idaho Mother Charged with Murder of Twin Toddlers

1 month ago 0

A 23-year-old mother from Idaho named Andrea Shaw has been charged with the murder of her 18-month-old twin children. The Payette Police Department announced her indictment on two counts of first-degree murder. Shaw was arrested in Boise and is currently being held on a $2 million bond.

Authorities discovered the bodies of her children, Dallas and Tyson, in a shared bed on May 1, 2025. While the police have not publicly revealed the cause of death, a filed indictment accuses Shaw of suffocating the twins.

Shortly after the incident, Shaw appeared on a podcast affiliated with Children’s Health Defense, a group critical of vaccines. On the podcast, she alleged that her children fell ill and died soon after receiving three vaccinations. Her attorney, Joe Filicetti, maintains that the deaths were related to these vaccinations, providing no supporting evidence for this claim.

Following the deaths of her twins, Shaw recently gave birth to another child prematurely via a cesarean section. Her husband is currently caring for the newborn. Shaw was initially held at Ada County Jail before being moved to Payette County.

Shaw appeared virtually for her arraignment in Payette County District Court. During the hearing, she was informed of the charges against her and the potential penalties, which include the possibility of the death penalty.
