Judge Rules Against Police Use of Flock Cameras

1 hour ago 0

A federal judge in Oklahoma declared that police carried out an “unconstitutional warrantless search” using Flock cameras to monitor a woman’s movements without probable cause. This ruling has intensified discussions about the policing technology’s potential conflict with constitutional rights.

Residents demonstrated in Milford, Michigan, against the use of these cameras. Concerns are rising about the implications of what the judge described as “indiscriminate mass surveillance.”

The license-plate-reader system, known as Flock, has become a focal point in debates over privacy. Many argue it crosses legal boundaries in observing the public without justifiable reasons.
