She attempted a diving splash, but Flammer blocked with her knees. Though Flammer avoided a pinfall, she was unable to regain full control.
With her partner La Hiedra absent, Flammer was visibly distracted, impacting her performance. Seizing the opportunity, La Catalina threw Flammer from the top rope and executed a hip attack followed by a running knee to secure victory.
Flammer’s reign as the longest-serving Reina de Reinas champion ended at 1,128 days, marking a significant shift in AAA wrestling. La Catalina’s victory on Night 2 of AAA’s major event was a pivotal moment for the championship.
Looking ahead, La Catalina faces Roxanne Perez at Worlds Collide, as Perez earned the No. 1 contender position on Night 1 of Triplemania 34. Perez overcame Nattie, La Hiedra, and Faby Apache to clinch the spot, pinning La Hiedra amid an apparent disconnect with Flammer.
