A 40-year-old man faces arrest following a stabbing incident involving a woman during a dispute in Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood. According to Chicago police, the incident occurred shortly before 2 a.m. inside a residence on the 7200 block of South Hoyne Avenue.
The altercation began as an argument between the man and a 45-year-old woman, which quickly escalated into a physical fight. During the confrontation, the man used a sharp object to stab the woman in her neck and abdomen. The assailant fled the scene but was apprehended promptly by law enforcement officers.
The woman received medical attention at UChicago Medicine where she is reported to be in good condition. Authorities are determining charges as detectives continue their investigation into the case.
