She indicated that, while exhaustion from motherhood could be relatable, Obama’s comments seemed resentful.

Despite Obama’s comments, she stressed her love for her daughters, sharing plans to see them for dinner. She contrasted her reaction with Barack Obama’s, revealing that he cried when the girls left for college.

Conservative commentator Matt Walsh argued that despite the family’s wealth, Obama seemed eager for her children to leave due to the demands of motherhood. He accused her of narcissism.
