The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) intercepted several general aviation aircraft over Bedminster, New Jersey, on Sunday. This response followed the reported violation of temporary flight restrictions in the area by these aircraft.
Officials from the 1st Air Force’s Air Forces Northern stated that two aircraft were involved in the incident. NORAD’s F-16 fighter jets safely escorted the aircraft out of the restricted airspace.
Flight restrictions were enforced in the Bedminster area due to President Trump’s planned visit to his golf club there.
