A school bus aide in Pennsylvania, Ali Khan, aged 62, was arrested for allegedly inappropriately touching a 14-year-old girl with special needs. Authorities reported that he also appeared to capture photographs and videos of the student using his cellphone.

The Bensalem Township Police Department charged Khan with several offenses, including endangering the welfare of a child, corruption of minors, and indecent assault. Khan is currently held at the Bucks County Correctional Facility, having failed to post 10% of his $500,000 bail.

The student’s parents informed the police on Thursday, July 30, about the inappropriate conduct by the bus aide. Investigators discovered that the misconduct occurred over two days, July 29 and July 30, while the student was on her way to Bensalem High School’s extended school year program.

Surveillance footage from the bus revealed Khan instructing the girl to sit in a particular seat, where he allegedly touched her inappropriately. The footage showed him engaging in inappropriate behavior and using a cellphone to photograph or videotape her.

The Bensalem Township Police Department commended the young victim for her courage in reporting the incident. They also expressed gratitude to the Bensalem School District for their support in the investigation. The school district stated that the safety and well-being of their students remains their top priority.

Following the accusations, the school district immediately removed Khan from his duties. They promised a thorough administrative review in cooperation with law enforcement. This review will adhere to Board policy, district procedures, and applicable law.

The preliminary hearing for Khan is set for August 11, 2026. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
