Philadelphia Police Investigate Notorious House with ‘House of Horrors’ Mystery

7 minutes ago 0

Police in Philadelphia have intensified their investigation into a property in the Olney neighborhood, collecting evidence including glass vials, a vacuum cleaner, and workout items. This home, labeled a ‘house of horrors’, used to belong to Raymond ‘RC’ Horsch, a known pornographer who passed away last year at 82.

Authorities are probing the house, now owned by Horsch’s son, Eugene Horsch, following its links to the case of at least seven missing women. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has been active at the site, with agents spotted carrying large evidence bags. These bags included items like glass vials and a board, indicating a detailed and systematic search.

Investigation updates suggest a significant collection of digital evidence has been sourced from the home. Eugene Horsch was arrested in June on charges unrelated to the missing women. Upon arrest, police reportedly discovered evidence of potential criminal activities, including ‘snuff’ videos and suspicions of chemical use in the residence.

A Philadelphia police spokesperson confirmed the ongoing nature of the investigation and that details will be disclosed as they become publicly appropriate. The sadistic themes pursued by Raymond Horsch in his work suggest possible nonfiction aspects, with evidence connecting to seven cases involving missing women.

Identifying the Victims

Authorities have identified four out of the seven women linked to the case. The identities of Maribel Fresses and Gabrielle Aramando have been confirmed, with Fresses last seen in 2018. Additionally, a woman found with Eugene Horsch during his arrest carried an ID belonging to Blair Tonzelli, a missing person from February 2023.

Local reports mention two more individuals, Amy Teresa McHale and Nicole ‘Nikki’ Fusaro. Both women are documented in the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System. McHale, Horsch’s ex-wife, vanished in 2016, while Fusaro disappeared near Kensington and Allegheny Avenue in 2019.

Investigative Developments

Investigators have identified multiple individuals from their analysis of images discovered in the home. Ongoing excavation efforts have taken place around the residence, including examination of the sewers. Despite these activities, Eugene Horsch has yet to face charges regarding the missing women. During his unrelated arrest, the woman accompanying him possessed one of the missing women’s IDs.

Forensic psychologist Dr. Kris Mohandie speculates that the elder Horsch could have ties to a wider network involved in ‘snuff films’, suggesting financial gain motives aside from the sadistic tendencies commonly seen in serial murders. Raymond Horsch’s previous convictions include producing methamphetamines and authoring violent books. His literature includes graphic depictions similar to the ongoing investigation.
