For Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., addressing this regulatory gap has been a significant agenda item. Scheduled for announcement on Monday, Kennedy is expected to present a strategy targeting the reform of this longstanding loophole. This loophole lets food companies introduce particular chemicals into their products without prior notification to national food regulators.
The proposed unveiling of the plan was shared by three individuals who provided insights under anonymity. These individuals disclosed this upcoming announcement though it has not yet been officially released to the public.
