Presidents Cup Roster Announced

Jackson Koivun joins the U.S. team for the Presidents Cup, marking a significant achievement for the 21-year-old. Despite leaving Auburn just three months ago, Koivun’s impressive performance includes a win at the 3M Open in his third professional start. He also qualified for the PGA Tour postseason after only five tournaments. Koivun follows in the footsteps of Jordan Spieth, becoming the first since 2013 to play in the Presidents Cup without starting the year with a tour card.

U.S. captain Brandt Snedeker also selected Jacob Bridgeman, who scored a victory at Riviera this year. Snedeker’s selections did not include Ryan Gerard, despite his strong performance at the Tour Championship and No. 22 world ranking.

International captain Geoff Ogilvy chose Canadians Corey Conners and Nick Taylor, along with Ryo Hisatsune. This is the first Presidents Cup since 1998 to feature two Japanese players, with Hideki Matsuyama already securing an automatic spot. The event will take place from September 24-27 at Medinah Country Club, renovated by Ogilvy’s design company.
