De Niro confessed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that he has never watched Grande in “Wicked,” the popular film. “I didn’t see her movie, and I still am trying to see it, believe it or not, but I want to see it. I’m going to see it with my daughter. And she’s, of course, seen it,” De Niro shared.
Despite not seeing the film, De Niro is familiar with Grande’s work. He noted, “I had seen her in some stuff with my daughter, some sitcom thing she had done.” He recalled that his child was a fan of Grande’s earlier TV roles.
De Niro praised Grande’s performance in “Focker-In-Law,” set to hit theaters on November 25. She portrays Olivia, the girlfriend of Henry Focker. “She was very professional,” De Niro commented on her acting skills. “She’s terrific and very quick and got it all. She was very much part of the whole process. I liked her. Nice kid.”
De Niro, a seasoned actor, acknowledging Grande’s acting ability emphasizes her talent beyond singing. His respect for her work demonstrates Grande’s diverse skills in the entertainment industry.
