Selma Blair, known for her role in “Cruel Intentions,” reportedly had a violent episode on a Delta Airlines flight. The incident led to her being taken into custody and transferred to a hospital for evaluation. According to the New York Port Authority, the event occurred on Sunday night.
The Port Authority Police Department received a call around 11 p.m. after a flight from Los Angeles International Airport landed at John F. Kennedy International Airport. Two flight attendants required medical assistance following an alleged confrontation during the flight. One of the attendants was also sent to the hospital for further examination. The FBI is currently investigating the event.
Blair’s representatives said that she experienced a medical emergency, which contributed to her behavior. Upon landing, Blair received immediate medical care and is now in stable condition.
Dispatch audio obtained by TMZ claims that a flight attendant suffered a bloody nose, and Blair reportedly “bashed her head” against an overhead compartment.
A Delta spokesperson stated, “Delta has zero tolerance for unruly or unlawful behavior, as the safety of our customers and crew always comes first.”
Previously, in 2016, Blair was hospitalized after an incident on a flight to Los Angeles International Airport from Cancun, Mexico. Following the event, she apologized, explaining that she mixed alcohol with medication, which caused her to black out and led to regrettable actions.
The FBI has not provided comments yet.
