Tyreek Hill Faces Allegations Amid NFL Review

48 minutes ago 0

Recent reports suggest Tyreek Hill could return to the Kansas City Chiefs. However, his estranged wife’s testimony may impact this possibility. During a divorce trial, Lakeeta Vaccaro accused Hill of domestic abuse across eight incidents. These allegations might affect his return to the field due to the NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy.

Hill, currently a free agent, is under NFL review for the claims made by Vaccaro. A league source confirmed there’s no set timeline for a decision. Her testimony on Tuesday about the abuse is likely part of the review process, influencing Hill’s playing status if he is healthy.

Vaccaro, seeking damages, testified about an incident in July 2024 when she and Hill visited ESPN’s campus. Hill reportedly became angry over her lack of professional styling for interviews. Vaccaro claimed Hill attempted to punch her stomach, but she blocked the blow with her hands. At the time, she was pregnant. She also stated Hill expressed resentment towards the pregnancy.

Vaccaro recounted a problematic 18-month marriage marked by periodic violence and relative calm. She described Hill’s aggression, citing episodes where he threw her out of their house and pushed her into a car door. Other accusations include Hill assaulting her and leaving her stranded after arguments.

Hill’s legal team confronted Vaccaro on potential inconsistencies in her statements, emphasizing the absence of physical evidence. They acknowledge the severity of the allegations but contest the notion of accepting them without proof.

Hill has a documented history involving accusations of abuse:

  • 2014–2015: Hill was arrested at Oklahoma State for attacking his then-pregnant girlfriend, Crystal Espinal. He pleaded guilty to domestic assault, resulting in probation. The charges were dismissed and expunged in 2018.
  • 2019: Hill and Espinal were investigated over their son’s arm injury and threatening audio. No charges were filed as the culprit was undetermined. The NFL also investigated but did not suspend Hill.
  • 2024: Hill settled a lawsuit with British influencer Sophie Hall, who accused him of fracturing her leg during a football drill.
  • 2024–2025: Vaccaro reported different domestic disputes. In one instance, Hill allegedly hit her with a cigar but avoided arrest. Another incident involved Hill purportedly holding their baby near a balcony. No charges resulted, though media obtained video evidence of the latter event.

The trial continued after the day concluded at 5 p.m.; neither party spoke to media. Proceedings are set to resume on Wednesday.
