U.S. Government Investigates Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena

1 day ago 0

Retired Defense Intelligence senior executive Jay Stratton detailed government investigations into unexplained unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs) during an appearance on ‘Special Report’ with Bret Baier. Stratton revealed surprising military encounters with black triangle aircraft and discussed potential national security threats. He explained the use of nuclear submarines by the U.S. military to monitor these mysterious occurrences.

New Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) reports describe a puzzling sighting in 2026. Agents observed a black triangular object hovering silently over a mountain ridge before quickly accelerating at fighter jet-like speeds. The Department of War documents include this account and others examining UAPs alongside historic military encounters and reports of unidentified creatures, strange lights, and supposed portals at a Utah ranch.

One FBI report describes an encounter with a large, nonreflective triangular object resembling a drone, measuring between 9 to 15 feet wide and lacking visible exhaust or conventional propulsion systems. The object reportedly rose vertically before vanishing into a canyon silently. An image accompanying a 2026 FBI report captures a black triangular object above a mountain setting. Federal agents observed the object hovering and then accelerating into a canyon. Authorities have not confirmed if the image is a real photograph or a digital representation.

A more comprehensive description of the event is provided in a separate report from the Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), which examines reports of UAPs. This report details a matte-black triangular object ascending 200 to 300 feet above a ridgeline, hovering for around 20 seconds, and then quickly disappearing into a canyon. Witnesses noted no visible engines, rotors, or exhaust.

Additionally, agents noticed a uniform heat signature on the object’s surface using handheld thermal tools, showing no concentrated hot spots typical of propulsion systems. Witnesses estimated the object’s speed, but instruments did not measure it directly. There is a discrepancy between the reports on the sighting’s duration. The FBI noted a three-second encounter, while AARO described about 10 seconds of ascent, 20 seconds of hovering, and two to three seconds of rapid movement. Neither report identified the object nor determined its origin.

An earlier declassified U.S. Air Force intelligence report, dated January 19, 1957, includes an unidentified radar contact involving a B-52 bomber during a Strategic Air Command mission near Saudi Arabia. On January 18, 1957, while flying at 39,000 feet, the bomber’s radar detected an unknown object approximately 6,000 yards away. The contact remained visible for five to seven minutes before disappearing as the bomber changed direction. Investigators noted that no other aircraft were anticipated in the area, but acknowledged that the radar disappearance might be due to the bomber’s maneuver.

Historical records also mention sightings near California’s Santa Catalina Island. An Air Force report from August 28, 1952, documents three Boy Scouts who saw a silent, silver object moving faster than a standard jet. The scouts reported the object making a climbing turn before apparently disintegrating. Investigators noted the scouts’ lack of instruments and limited experience made assessing the sighting’s reliability challenging.

Another sighting near Catalina Island on March 15, 1955, involved a bright, round object changing from orange to red before dropping straight down. The Air Force classified it as a ‘probable meteor.’

Records include a 60-page 2010 investigation by Bigelow Aerospace Advanced Space Studies (BAASS) at a Utah ranch linked to reports of unexplained phenomena. Investigators interviewed residents who described large, bipedal dog-like creatures, mysterious light balls, and other unusual sightings. Eyewitnesses reported smaller, furry creatures, a prehistoric-looking bird, and a substantial worm. One witness described a transparent, ripple-like structure perceived as a portal to another world. Eyewitness sketches, surveillance footage, environmental monitoring, and hair samples were collected.

Laboratory tests identified the hair samples as originating from common animals, such as domestic dogs and raccoons. The investigation concluded without confirming the existence of the sensational creatures or other peculiar occurrences.

Fox News Digital sought comments from the FBI regarding the sighting. Greg Wehner covers U.S. news and crime for Fox News Digital, focusing on breaking developments, law enforcement, public safety, and significant stories affecting communities nationwide.
