Discovering unexpected surprises on your home can be unsettling, especially when it involves a wild animal. Bill Dabney from Pasadena experienced this firsthand when he found droppings on the roof of his guest house, which led to a confrontation with a mountain lion.
“I looked up, and I saw poop on the roof,” Dabney recounted during an interview with KABC-TV. “There were four separate stools.” While some might chuckle at the idea of numerology offering mixed messages, there was a clear sign of impending danger for Dabney.
As Dabney described the tense moment, he said, “All of a sudden I look over and [there’s a] mountain lion staring at me.” This dangerous encounter wasn’t just a coincidence. It suggested that the mountain lion had indeed left its mark on Dabney’s roof.
The presence of the mountain lion wasn’t brief. “He was in the position mode, like he was going to spring,” Dabney recalled. Realizing the threat, he quickly left the area, stating, “Time to go!” and “I took off running!”
In the following days, another mountain lion was reportedly seen in the vicinity. It remains unverified if this was the same animal. The situation left many on edge, wondering if more unexpected gifts might appear on other rooftops.
This incident serves as a reminder of the unpredictable interactions with wildlife that can occur in suburban areas. While the mountain lion wasn’t there to apologize, residents are encouraged to stay vigilant.
