A video showing a massive elk breaking a car window in Estes Park, Colorado is gaining widespread attention. Estes Park is famous for its large elk population.
The video, shared on Instagram, depicts the elk striking the vehicle with significant force. Observers likened the impact to that of an NFL linebacker colliding with a running back. Such events often occur in regions where elk are prevalent, especially during the rutting season.
The incident sparked discussion among viewers. Comments ranged from jokes about it being ‘just a Kansas driver,’ to reminders to stay cautious during rutting season. Others speculated about insurance claims, humorously suggesting that one might have to sue the elk for damages.
Elk interactions like these highlight the challenges of coexisting with wildlife in certain areas. During autumn, male elk can be particularly aggressive as they navigate their environment during mating season.
