Killer Kross, a major name in wrestling, commands fear in the ring. Known for his intense style, Kross is the current Major League Wrestling (MLW) world heavyweight champion, winning Battle Riot VIII. Despite his intimidating persona in wrestling, he shows a softer side in his personal life.
During an interview with Fox News Digital about MLW’s new partnership with Veeps, Kross shared a surprising story. His pet cat joined the conversation briefly, leading to questions about how it became part of his life.
“I’ve been highly allergic to cats,” Kross admitted. “But one day, my wife Scarlett Bordeaux and I found a stray kitten on our doorstep. We often encountered stray animals on travels, even in places like Thailand, and felt compelled to help them.”
Initially, the couple offered the stray some tuna. The cat vanished for weeks, but over time, it returned. They started feeding it regularly, even though Kross’s allergies were severe.
A critical moment arrived with an approaching hurricane. “We wanted to shelter the cat,” Kross said. “My wife prepared a makeshift home at our door, expecting it to protect the animal from the storm.” The cat lived there for six months, gradually mingling with the couple and their dogs.
Another turning point came when the cat suffered an injury. Kross took decisive action.
“I spent thousands on vet bills to treat this stray,” Kross explained. “Despite being a stray, it was remarkably friendly. Tests showed it had no diseases.”
Kross created a secure space in their home for the animal, complete with essentials like an automatic litter box.
The family’s dogs accepted the cat, and interactions between the animals became routine. Remarkably, Kross’s allergies subsided, allowing the cat full integration into their lives.
“Now, it feels like the family is complete,” Kross said. “The cat has a funny, smart personality and gets along wonderfully with the dogs.” This side of Kross shows a caring nature off the wrestling stage.
A new season of “MLW Fusion” will soon be available for free on a global streaming platform. Fans will see more of Kross in his wrestling element, but at home, he is nurturing and compassionate.
