6 days ago 0

Newly unsealed court affidavits detail an alleged plot by a group of men planning a coordinated attack on a UFC event at the White House. Investigators describe a multiphase plan involving drones, sniper positions, and crowd manipulation. The affidavits reveal maps with operational positions, screenshots of encrypted chats, and photographs of firearms and tactical equipment, presenting what prosecutors call a threat against politicians and high-value targets attending the event in Washington, D.C.

Details of the Alleged Plot

One map shows proposed sniper and drone positions around the White House. It includes instructions for team positioning and mentions an escape route. The group allegedly planned a northside protest while drones detonated above the UFC arena to force crowds south toward men with rifles. Targeted individuals included several politicians, according to the affidavit for Tycen Proper, an Ohio resident facing charges like conspiracy against the United States.

The group cited grievances about government corruption and actions as motivations for the plot. They communicated online using encrypted platforms, exchanging images and plans for the attack, detailing possible escape routes, and assigning roles by location.

Suspects and Arrests

Proper, together with Bryan Omar Roa, Michael Alan Thomas, Daniel Eskridge, and Abraham Alvarez, were involved in the conspiracy. Proper’s family reported concerns, leading investigators to discover the group connected initially through TikTok, before moving to secure messaging apps. The group consisted of 19 individuals, with subgroups for different roles.

Investigators learned Roa and Thomas had met to practice tactical shooting, considered training for guerrilla warfare. Their online presence and tactical activities were closely monitored.

Evidence Recovered

Significant evidence includes annotated maps, encrypted chat screenshots, and images of weapons. Maps showed planned positions for snipers and drones around the White House. Plans included extraction methods after the attack, utilizing waterways around Washington. Additional annotations and images indicated specific operational roles.

The investigation seized rifles, ammunition, body armor, and other tactical equipment, underscoring the seriousness of the alleged plot.

Legal Proceedings

The suspects face multiple federal charges. Proper’s charges include conspiracy, attempted murder, and firearms-related offenses. Thomas, Roa, and Eskridge face conspiracy to commit murder. Alvarez is charged with conspiracy against the United States. The gravity of these charges reflects the potential for life imprisonment if convicted.
