With tensions high between Israel and the U.S., American intelligence agencies warn that Israeli military actions in Lebanon could threaten a potential peace agreement between the U.S. and Iran. The relationship between Israel and the Trump administration remains strained.

U.S. intelligence believes that Israel, largely excluded from the negotiations, might jeopardize ongoing talks with Iran by continuing its offensive against Hezbollah in Lebanon.
