U.S. Holds Advantage in Middle East Negotiations, Says Vice President

The U.S. maintains a favorable position in ongoing negotiations in the Middle East, according to Vice President JD Vance. In an exclusive interview, he claimed the Trump administration had already fulfilled its primary objective concerning Iran, no matter the outcome of discussions in Doha.

“We possess all the leverage in the negotiation,” Vance expressed on “The Ingraham Angle.” “While success is our goal, even without it, we have achieved the core aim of preventing Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon,” he added.

Core Objectives Achieved

Vice President JD Vance emphasized that successful talks would mean a significant shift in Iran’s position — where nuclear ambitions are ended and support for proxies in the Middle East ceases. Under these terms, Iran could potentially reintegrate into the global economy.

“That’s a beneficial outcome for the American people. It’s even more beneficial for the region,” Vance stated.

Stakes of the Negotiation

Vance remarked that if Iran fails to meet essential negotiation terms, their nuclear program and conventional military capabilities remain non-functional, preserving U.S. strength in comparison.

Vice President Vance’s comments followed the arrival of U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner in Qatar for discussions. Reports indicated no planned high-level meetings between Washington and Tehran.

Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesperson Majed Al-Ansari confirmed, “There are no direct meetings scheduled between the two parties in the coming days.” Meanwhile, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt mentioned earlier that Iran had sought talks, aligning with statements from President Donald Trump and his administration.
