Wheaton North vs. Geneva

Wheaton North triumphed over Geneva with a close 36-35 victory in the Class 6A second-round game held in Geneva on Friday, Nov. 6, 2026. Senior quarterback Ben Peterson led the way for Geneva, completing 15 of 23 passes for 195 yards and a touchdown. Despite Geneva leading late in the game, Wheaton North’s last-minute rally secured their win.

New Trier vs. Homewood-Flossmoor

Homewood-Flossmoor faced New Trier at New Trier High School in a Class 8A second-round game. Although Martez Harding II’s efforts gave Homewood-Flossmoor hope, New Trier managed to win 26-23. Harding caught a 4-yard touchdown pass, giving a late spark to the team’s efforts.

Oswego vs. Naperville North

Oswego emerged victorious with a 21-19 win against Naperville North in a Class 8A second-round match. Luke Hernandez, Oswego’s senior fullback, played a crucial role in the game. He praised his offensive line for their outstanding performance, contributing significantly to the team’s success.

Wheaton South vs. Riverside-Brookfield

Wheaton Warrenville South advanced in the playoffs with a decisive 45-14 victory over Riverside-Brookfield. Junior quarterback AJ Rogers was instrumental in the win, completing 18 of 26 passes for 350 yards and three touchdowns. His impressive performance has helped Wheaton South reach the quarterfinals for the first time since 2019.

Downers Grove North vs. St. Rita

Downers Grove North defeated St. Rita 17-7 in a Class 7A second-round game. Kyle Keyser, a senior safety and class president at St. Rita, started strong with a 50-yard interception return for a touchdown. However, St. Rita could not maintain the momentum, leading to their defeat.
