Increased Usage of Weight-Loss Medications in the U.S.

A recent Gallup poll highlights a significant increase in the use of weight-loss medications among U.S. adults. As of 2026, 11 percent of adults report actively using these medications, a rise from 3 percent in 2024.

The survey, conducted online with 5,065 U.S. adults, also reveals that 15 percent have used GLP-1 medications for weight loss at some point. These medications, often administered through injections or oral forms, are becoming increasingly popular.
