Earlier in the podcast, Carville criticized Trump’s inner circle, expressing confusion over continued support in 2026. He acknowledged the rationale behind voting for Trump in 2024, but questioned supporters who remain loyal despite unfulfilled promises.
Carville described these continued supporters as ‘world-class buffoons,’ arguing that Trump failed to prioritize American interests and focused solely on personal financial gains. He called the approval ratings ‘the outrage of the century,’ urging individuals to reevaluate their support.
Finally, Carville noted that Trump’s coalition has faced defections as some high-profile supporters highlight unmet commitments from his tenure.
