Zelenskyy Discusses Ukraine’s Military Advances and Peace Efforts

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy recently spoke to Fox News about the current state of the conflict between Ukraine and Russia, highlighting the shift in military dynamics. Zelenskyy explained that Ukraine’s advancements in military technology have altered the way the war is being conducted.

Following the funeral of Sen. Lindsey Graham, Zelenskyy reflected on Graham’s support for Ukraine while discussing the war and peace negotiations. He noted that Ukraine has developed a strong military technology industry, consisting of 500 companies. These developments have shifted the war’s dynamics as Ukraine continues to push for peace talks.

“We understand that this war is changing each three, six months,” Zelenskyy said, emphasizing the need to adapt quickly to counter Russian strategies and technology.

The Ukrainian president also commented on recent military successes, including attacks within Russia, such as strikes disrupting the power grid in Russian-occupied Crimea. These acts demonstrate the increased reach of Ukraine’s military capabilities, significantly impacting Russia’s momentum.

Russia’s President Putin has expressed that he believes the conflict could conclude soon, despite losing numerous soldiers each month. Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine continues to push for a ceasefire, but Russia remains uninterested in dialogue.

Throughout the interview, Zelenskyy praised Lindsey Graham’s unwavering support for Ukraine, emphasizing Graham’s frequent visits and deep knowledge of the country. Graham’s influence was evident in the recently advanced Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act, voted for in the Senate by a bipartisan majority.

Earlier this Tuesday, Zelenskyy met with President Donald Trump at the White House to discuss expanding defense cooperation. They agreed on licenses for Ukraine to produce American-designed patriot missiles. Trump mentioned on social media that the meeting was successful.
