Israeli President Herzog Criticizes NYC Mayor’s Rhetoric and Highlights U.S.-Israel Relations

JERUSALEM, Israel: In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital, Israeli President Isaac Herzog criticized New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani for spreading rhetoric he deemed antisemitic and dangerous. Herzog stated that Mamdani’s words, which challenge Israel’s right to exist and ally with antisemitic sentiments, threaten the safety of New Yorkers.

Mamdani had ignited controversy by posting a video accusing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of war crimes and genocide against Palestinians. Herzog expressed concern about the impact of such statements on New York’s relationship with Israel, a place close to many Israelis’ hearts.
