In-N-Out Burger Shooting Claims Three Lives in Idaho

The tragic shooting at an In-N-Out Burger in Twin Falls, Idaho, resulted in the death of three individuals, including a restaurant employee and a local man renowned for aiding others in sobriety. The authorities have disclosed the victims’ identities following the incident.

Victims Identified

Police named the deceased as Ashley Garibay, aged 23, hailing from Stockton, California; Dale Schultz, aged 66, from Salt Lake City; and Christopher Claunch, aged 59, from Hagerman, Idaho. The gunman, a 24-year-old, carried out the shooting alone, though his motives remain unclear.

A Community in Mourning

In response to the tragedy, hundreds gathered at a Twin Falls park to honor the victims. Attendees carried candles and roses, expressing their grief and support. Teresa Yocham, a Twin Falls resident, emphasized the community’s unity during difficult times.

Garibay, an In-N-Out employee from Stockton, had aspirations of managing a store. Her family described her as driven and joyful. Claunch dedicated his life to helping others achieve sobriety, as shared by his friend Garren Taylor. Schultz, remembered by Gregory Glenn from the Madeleine Choir School, was a cherished artist whose wife was injured in the shooting.

Aftermath and Support

The In-N-Out location experienced chaos during the attack. The shooter, Chad Williams, ended the incident by taking his own life. Witnesses described the chaos as shots were fired inside and outside the restaurant.

Law enforcement established a support center for those affected and are maintaining flags at half-staff in remembrance. Among the injured was Steven Pixley, who sustained a severe arm injury. Despite the ordeal, he remains positive, according to his cousin Shane Klaas.
