Frank Siller, Chairman and CEO of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, discusses his new memoir, ‘Let Us Do Good’. The book is inspired by his brother, Stephen Siller, a firefighter who died in the 9/11 attacks. Frank highlights Stephen’s brave run through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel and emphasizes the foundation’s mission to support injured veterans and first responder families. The memoir delves into the family’s challenges and their impact.

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is organizing a significant event as the 25th anniversary of 9/11 approaches. They are transporting a steel beam from the South Tower on a 10,500-mile journey across America. This memorial aims to remind communities across the nation of the events that occurred on that fateful day.

This tour is about ensuring that every generation can remember and truly understand what happened 25 years ago, said Frank Siller in a recent press release. A 16,900-pound, 21-foot steel beam will visit over 20 states. Events will include appearances from local officials, first responders, and foundation members. The beam serves as a memorial to the victims and heroes of 9/11.

An initiative titled “Steel Across America” will honor 9/11 victims. Frank Siller stated: Steel Across America is our promise to bring this sacred piece of history to every corner… No one, regardless of their age or location, should ever forget the bravery shown by many heroes.

Tunnel to Towers Foundation, established in memory of FDNY firefighter Stephen Siller, has supported numerous families. Their efforts include providing mortgage-free homes for the families of fallen service members and first responders.

The tour began on May 2 in Lower Manhattan and will cross major locations such as California, Arizona, Washington, D.C., and Texas. It will conclude at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. During its journey, the beam will be displayed at various venues like museums, town squares, sporting events, and the White House. It will return to Ground Zero on 9/11’s 25th anniversary.

In Florida, the beam stopped at Emma E. Booker Elementary School, where President George W. Bush was informed of the attacks. Former White House chief of staff Andy Card, who relayed the message to Bush, attended this stop.

The foundation has committed to delivering 343 mortgage-free homes this year, in honor of the 343 FDNY firefighters who died. Additionally, they strive to combat veteran homelessness.
