Authorities are investigating a homicide after a man was found dead early Thursday morning in Chicago’s Grand Crossing neighborhood. The 59-year-old victim was discovered with cuts and trauma to his face, according to Chicago police.
Police reported finding the man’s body on the 300 block of West 76th Street shortly before 5:15 a.m. The victim’s identity has not been released yet. He was transported to UChicago Medicine, where he was pronounced dead.
An autopsy is scheduled for Friday to determine the cause of death. Detectives from the Wentworth Area are working to understand the circumstances that led to his death. Currently, no arrests have been made in connection with this case.
