Eagles’ Ja’Quinden Jackson Injured in Preseason Game

Philadelphia Eagles running back Ja’Quinden Jackson was injured during the opening kickoff of a preseason game against the New England Patriots in Foxborough. He was taken off the field in an ambulance, raising immediate concerns among teammates and fans.

The Eagles reported that Jackson retained strength and movement across his body. Medical personnel assessed him on the field before taking him to a hospital for further checks. The incident occurred when Jackson, part of the kickoff team, tackled New England player Lan Larison. After the play, he remained on the ground without movement.

Trainers and medical staff from both teams quickly attended to Jackson. They promptly called for a backboard and an ambulance. Players from both teams took a knee on the sideline as Jackson was secured onto a stretcher. Eagles teammates surrounded him briefly before the ambulance took him away. Jackson managed to raise his left arm as he was being moved.

After some minutes, play resumed. Backup quarterback Tanner McKee later mentioned they were informed postgame about Jackson’s condition. “A lot of different emotions just praying and hoping that he’s OK,” McKee expressed. “Word was going around that he was talking, he was responsive and moving. That kind of got everybody to settle down a little bit and we know our teammate is doing OK.”
