Karoline Leavitt has offered insights into her ongoing involvement with the White House, even as she steps down from her role as press secretary. In her final official interview, she disclosed her advisory role to President Donald Trump concerning her replacement.
During her appearance on “Fox & Friends,” she affirmed discussions with Trump about potential candidates for the position. “There are plenty of candidates vying for this role,” Leavitt remarked, underscoring the high demand and competence among the applicants.
Although Leavitt refrained from naming specific contenders, she advised Trump on the essential attributes the next press secretary should have. She also expressed her desire to assist until a replacement is chosen.
“The president’s complete trust is indispensable,” Leavitt emphasized, highlighting the unique relationship between the president and his spokesperson. She assured her readiness to support Trump’s decision-making process.
Leavitt shared reflections on her tenure, describing her departure as bittersweet, largely due to her commitment to her children. “Leaving a job I adore is difficult, but working alongside President Trump has been a profound experience,” she noted.
Leavitt expressed gratitude towards Trump, mentioning his supportive nature as she transitions out of her role to focus on her family.
