Details on the Case of Rahmanullah Lakanwal

1 hour ago 0

Rahmanullah Lakanwal, charged with the shooting of two National Guard troops in Washington D.C. last fall, is currently undergoing force-feeding against his wishes. One of those troops, Spec. Sarah Beckstrom, was killed in the incident, while Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolfe sustained injuries.

A makeshift memorial for the victims can still be seen near Farragut West station in Washington, commemorating their service and sacrifice.

Lakanwal was taken to a hospital in July after his decision to stop eating and drinking. This refusal led officials to implement significant measures to ensure he remains healthy enough to attend trial.

While his condition seems to be worsening, specific medical information has not been released in any court documents. Officials are determined to see that Lakanwal faces justice for the charges against him.
