Potential Effects of Tropical Storm Marie

1 hour ago 0

Social media is inundated with weather maps indicating the presence of Tropical Storm Marie. This storm is projected to intensify into a hurricane, posing potential threats to Southern California. However, direct impacts are unlikely.

Marie is forecasted to be situated southwest of the state, diminishing the probability of direct landfall. Although direct effects might be scarce, indirect impacts such as rough sea conditions and coastal flooding could still occur.

The imagery from weather models on Saturday illustrated three tropical systems swirling across the Pacific Ocean. Experts continue to monitor Marie’s trajectory to assess potential indirect effects on California.

“Weather model imagery showing three tropical systems swirling across the Pacific Ocean on Saturday,” said Ben Noll from The Washington Post.
