Chevron Plans Major Investment to Double Oil Production in Venezuela

53 minutes ago 0

Chevron revealed on Wednesday its strategy to significantly increase crude oil production in Venezuela. This decision comes as the company competes with a major oil initiative recently formed by the Trump administration alongside a prominent local rival.

The company disclosed that it has secured agreements in Venezuela aiming to expand its operations. Over the coming five years, Chevron intends to boost production to 600,000 barrels per day. This figure equates to nearly half of all the oil currently exported from the country.

Chevron has committed to investing $7 billion in this expansion effort. The move reflects the company’s intention to strengthen its influence in the region while contending with emerging competition.
