Federal Investigation Targets Election Fraud Across States

Federal agents recently executed a sweep as part of a Department of Justice (DOJ) investigation into election fraud spanning multiple states. This operation, which has led to criminal charges, centered on illegal voting and falsifying citizenship status in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Wisconsin.

The charges coincide with a nationwide effort under the Trump administration to address election-related crimes in the lead-up to the 2026 midterms. Over the last year, the Justice Department has sued approximately 30 states to obtain confidential voter rolls. Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), an agency traditionally focused on cartels and terrorism, has been redirected to investigate unlawfully registered non-citizens.

White House spokesperson Lauren Bis stated, “Despite media and Democrat claims, non-citizens registering to vote remains a significant issue. Those found guilty will be held accountable. Voting should be reserved for American citizens.”

Recent Arrests and Charges

On Friday, the Justice Department announced charges against five individuals. Among them were two illegal immigrants and two non-citizens with legal status. They face allegations of unlawful voting, citizenship falsification, and aiding illegal voting in the 2022 and 2024 elections. Some could face more than ten years in prison if convicted.

Katya Rodriguez, an illegal immigrant from Mexico residing in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, was arrested. Indicted on charges related to illegal voting in the 2024 election, she could face up to 11 years in prison and fines for falsifying citizenship, fraudulent registration, and voting as an alien.

Homeland Security Investigations released footage of Rodriguez’s arrest, underscoring the seriousness of the charges.

Software Error and Non-Citizen Registrations

Recently, New Jersey officials revealed a software error that inadvertently registered nearly 6,600 non-citizens to vote, with approximately 400 casting ballots. An audit by Homeland Security identified over 250,000 registered non-citizens in California, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Nevada.

Just days ago, CNN reported that Homeland Security Investigations was conducting a “voter fraud surge” in nine states, including Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, to find non-citizens involved in election interference.

Ensuring Election Integrity

HSI’s Acting Executive Associate Director, John A. Condon, emphasized the agency’s dedication to securing the integrity of elections. He stated that HSI agents are working diligently with federal partners to investigate unlawful voting and fraudulent registration, ensuring public trust in the process.
