Andy Williams, Known as The Butcher in Wrestling, Passes Away

Andy Williams, the professional wrestler known as The Butcher, has died at the age of 48. Williams suffered a medical emergency during a wrestling event.

Williams was involved in a match with his tag team partner, Jesse Guilmette, known as The Blade, at Enjoy Wrestling in Millvale, Pennsylvania. The event took place at Mr. Smalls Theater on Friday night. According to the promotion, Williams collapsed at the end of the match.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed to TMZ that Williams had passed away. Authorities were contacted for comment by OutKick Dropkick.

Williams was also known for his musical career as a guitarist in the band Every Time I Die, which he joined in 1998 and remained part of until the band split in 2022. He attended events like the 2014 Gibson Brands AP Music Awards with bandmate Keith Buckley.

Williams began training as a wrestler in the early 2010s and debuted professionally in 2015. He and Guilmette began teaming up as The Butcher and The Blade in 2017. Their team featured in several wrestling promotions, including AEW, Ring of Honor (ROH), and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA).

The wrestling community has expressed their condolences and reacted on social media to Williams’ passing.
