The Baltimore Ravens are facing a tough period with their playoff hopes in jeopardy. The team is dealing with quarterback injuries and a four-game losing streak, highlighted by a 33-10 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday night.
In response to these challenges, Baltimore acquired Jacoby Brissett to address their quarterback issues. However, speculation is growing around the possibility of trading their star running back, Derrick Henry.
As the NFL trade deadline approaches on Tuesday, there was talk that the Ravens might consider trading the 32-year-old Henry. Some believe that adding someone like Henry could make the Ravens a Super Bowl contender. Nevertheless, according to ESPN, the Ravens have stated Henry is not available for trade before the November 10 deadline.

Henry’s name came up in discussions involving his former coaches. John Harbaugh and the New York Giants were reportedly exploring running back options. The Giants are also interested in Jonathan Taylor from the Indianapolis Colts. Meanwhile, the New England Patriots’ Mike Vrabel could have provided a familiar setting for Henry.
Henry plays an essential role in the Ravens’ offense, led by Declan Doyle. But the team has been struggling with quarterback problems, including MVP Lamar Jackson’s absence due to a high-ankle sprain. Jackson returned against the Buffalo Bills but suffered a thumb injury, requiring surgery and placement on the injured list.
Tyler “Snoop” Huntley stepped in as starter during Jackson’s absence but exited the Bills game due to a turf toe injury. This situation forced rookie Joe Fagnano from UConn to take over, leading to a 36-10 defeat. Subsequently, the Ravens traded for Brissett after the Arizona Cardinals benched him.
Brissett could not join in time for the game against a strong Jaguars team, resulting in a challenging night for the Ravens with Fagnano at quarterback. They hope that Brissett will maintain competitiveness and keep playoff chances alive. Jackson’s return post-surgery remains a possibility, though he will miss the next four games due to being on the injured list. Currently, the Ravens stand at a 4-5 record, needing Brissett to stabilize the team.
