An altercation involving showgirls on the Las Vegas Strip resulted in two arrests on September 30, 2026. Jennifer Ortiz and Magdellena Romero were taken into custody following a violent incident outside Planet Hollywood. Police received reports of a fight involving women dressed as showgirls.

The confrontation began when two tourists from North Carolina took photos with three showgirls and paid a $20 tip. According to an arrest report, Ortiz followed them afterward, demanding an additional $60 to $180. This demand led to a brawl where Ortiz allegedly struck one tourist over 22 times, including using a high-heeled boot to hit the visitor in the head. The incident left the tourist with a significant cut.

Footage from the scene revealed two showgirls in a fight with a man and woman. One showgirl pulled the woman’s hair and punched her repeatedly. The male tourist, shirtless and bleeding, attempted to intervene and halt the attack.

Another showgirl attempted to break up the altercation. Both tourists were injured but chose not to go to a hospital. They later provided written statements and requested charges be filed.

Separately, a man complained about a $218 charge for photos, after agreeing to pay $60. He alleged that after tapping his debit card on Ortiz’s phone, a higher amount was charged. Attempts to resolve the issue led to the showgirls providing him with a fake phone number.

Ortiz stated that a tourist struck her first, with Romero claiming she intervened to defend her friend. Ortiz faces charges of battery and obtaining money under false pretenses for amounts less than $1,200. Romero is charged with battery. Both were booked at the Clark County Detention Center.

Ortiz was also under a court order for a similar incident in March at the Fremont Street Experience. Romero and Ortiz are scheduled to appear in court on December 3.
