The X Division Championship scramble captivated fans with its dynamic action. Originally planned as a six-man match, competitors included BDE, KC Navarro, Ryan Nemeth, Fabian Aichner, Rich Swann, and Cedric Alexander. The title was vacant as Leon Slater pursued the TNA World Championship.
Amazing Red, inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame alongside Konnan and ODB, announced his participation in the match during his induction speech at Bound for Glory. The bout evolved into a heated seven-man contest, introducing unexpected chaos in the ring. Known for his experience, Amazing Red demonstrated his championship skills.
Swann and BDE initially appeared dominant, showcasing their teamwork against Amazing Red. It seemed possible one of them would seize victory.
KC Navarro, aiming for triumph, executed a 305 and a Blessing in Disguise on Aichner. Just as he attempted a pin, Nemeth intervened, pulling the referee out. Navarro then tackled Nemeth outside the ring.
Amazing Red achieved victory with a Spanish Fly and Code Red, pinning Navarro to reclaim the championship.
For Amazing Red, this win marked his fourth time holding the X Division title, having last claimed it in September 2010 at a live event. In doing so, he joins an elite group of wrestlers, with only Chris Sabin, Austin Aries, Jay Lethal, A.J. Styles, Samoa Joe, Low Ki, and Frankie Kazarian holding the belt more frequently.
His success underscores his enduring prowess in professional wrestling, earning him a respected place in the history of the X Division Championship.
