Katie Zacharia: A Key Figure in Trump’s Communications Team

1 hour ago 0

President Donald Trump’s new press secretary, Katie Zacharia, praised his executive assistant, Natalie Harp, as a “true, pure patriot.” Zacharia, appointed on October 9 and starting on October 12, has been a regular presence on networks like Fox News and Newsmax as a commentator in legal and political spheres. In a Truth Social post, Trump expressed his appreciation for Zacharia, stating that she “has been a loyal and brilliant supporter, right from the beginning,” emphasizing her dedication to the Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement.

Zacharia acknowledged Trump’s remarks by posting on X, writing, “Serving President Trump and the American people at this critical 250-year mark is the honor of a lifetime. President Trump has shown America that we can be great again, and he works to effectuate that greatness every single day.”

What Has Katie Zacharia Said About Natalie Harp?

As Zacharia steps into her role in White House communications, Natalie Harp, one of Trump’s longest-serving aides, continues to receive attention. Known as the “human printer,” Harp is responsible for crafting and disseminating Trump’s posts on Truth Social. Her role gained more notice in August when Georgia Senator Jon Ossoff mentioned her in a widely-circulated speech, criticizing Trump for preferring to “build his ballroom and travel with Natalie” over presidential duties.

In an interview with News24 Digital’s Gabriella Power, Zacharia defended Harp: “Natalie Harp is a true, pure patriot. She absolutely loves this country and serves the president in a capacity that many others cannot and will not,” Zacharia stated. She pointed out that unlike many in Washington focused on career advancement, “that’s not the case with Natalie Harp,” describing her as dedicated to service because “she does love her country.”

Zacharia criticized Ossoff and media portrayals of Harp, suggesting a “slow news cycle” led to negative stories about Harp, saying reporters “are making something up out of thin air on Natalie Harp.” She accused Ossoff of deliberately causing a “firestorm for her and for the president” with his comments.

Katie Zacharia’s predecessor, Karoline Leavitt, also supported Harp before leaving the White House in August. Leavitt stated, “Natalie Harp has a security clearance like everyone else, and she is a loyal and hardworking member of President Trump’s team.”

Who Is Katie Zacharia?

Zacharia has worked as a senior communications adviser to Trump Media and Technology Group since June 2026, based on her LinkedIn profile. Before this, she served as deputy assistant secretary and spokesperson for former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. Zacharia holds both a law degree and a bachelor’s degree from Pepperdine University in Malibu.

Her early political experience includes internships with the Republican National Committee and the White House Office of Political Affairs in 2006. Trump revealed last week that Zacharia played a role in his political campaigns, helping secure wins in key swing states with a perfect 7 out of 7 record. He described her public support as “unblemished” and “loyal.”

A “lifelong conservative,” Zacharia shared with CNN in April her admiration for ICE and the Border Patrol, asserting herself as a firm supporter of their missions.
