Major League Wrestling (MLW) has been enhancing its roster by bringing in well-known wrestlers over the years. High-profile names such as Killer Kross, Scarlett Bordeaux, Austin Aries, Trevor Lee, and Shotzi Blackheart have all been part of MLW at various times. This year, Tessa Blanchard and Masha Slamovich have joined MLW to strengthen the women’s division.
Tessa Blanchard, a third-generation wrestler, has faced allegations of racism but she has consistently denied these claims. Despite this, she remains a prominent figure in the wrestling world. Masha Slamovich addressed her past issues concerning domestic abuse allegations in 2025, acknowledging the mistakes in what she called a mutually destructive relationship.
MLW announced Blanchard’s signing in September. Initially, she was set to debut at Fightland, but delays postponed her first appearance to the Saturday Night SuperFight event. This event will be viewable on Veeps.
“There are things in this business that happen that are just unique,” MLW owner Court Bauer told OutKick Dropkick about Blanchard’s signing. “Ultimately what happened was a delay of about 60 days. Instead of her debuting for a TV taping in Charleston, she’s making her debut at our pay-per-view, which turned out well for all involved.”
Bauer expressed that having Blanchard join MLW is an honor. He mentioned that Blanchard was expected to be a key player during the league’s relaunch in 2017, but plans shifted. Her career took her to success in Mexico and elsewhere, and now she is back with MLW, highlighting her significant journey.
Bauer also talked about his belief in granting second chances, mentioning how forgiveness plays a role in business. He emphasized how important it is to allow people to grow from their mistakes, citing his own experiences of receiving multiple opportunities.
Blanchard will face Keyra, and Slamovich will compete against Zamaya during Saturday Night SuperFight. The event is scheduled at Cicero Stadium in Chicago and can be watched on Veeps.
