2 hours ago 0

Nvidia announced the launch of an independent investigation following reports of an alleged foreign intelligence operation targeting its CEO, Jensen Huang. The announcement came after media reports surfaced about Huang’s involvement in a concerning situation.

Republican lawmakers in the US House have urged Huang to address Congress regarding a New York Times report published in October. The report claimed Huang maintained a close relationship with a Chinese businesswoman who passed sensitive information to Beijing.

Nvidia emphasized that its board currently sees no evidence suggesting risks to US national security or company secrets. Despite this, the ongoing inquiry will explore any available evidence.

Huang has voiced his wholehearted support for this review, asserting his willingness to cooperate fully with the investigation.

An Axios report shared details from a draft email, where Huang acknowledged a romantic involvement with a suspected Chinese spy. He expressed deep regret for his actions.

I was unfaithful to my wife. My actions hurt her and our children. There is no excuse for what I did.

Huang stated in the draft email, which was reviewed by Reuters. Nvidia has yet to provide comments regarding the Axios report.
