In a recent social media post, President Donald Trump shared a controversial animated video featuring Dana White, CEO of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). The video, released following Trump’s offer to White to become the White House press secretary, depicted White and UFC fighters in the White House press room.
During the video, White instructed UFC fighters to attack journalists attempting to ask questions. The one-minute animation concluded with chaos in the press room and a cartoon Trump entering to ask about the briefing. White’s character responded with, “Fiery … but mostly peaceful.” The offer to White for the role of press secretary followed the departure of Katie Zacharia, who held the position briefly the previous month.
A White House official clarified that the offer to White had been made in jest. Dana White, speaking at a London event, chose not to comment on the offer and stated he had a meeting with Trump scheduled for the next day. Meanwhile, UFC did not respond to inquiries regarding the video.
