The Academy of Country Music Awards showcased an unforgettable night in Las Vegas, bringing together the biggest names in the industry. Cody Johnson earned the title of entertainer of the year, yet it was Ella Langley’s night from the start.
The first award, song of the year, went to Langley for “Choosin’ Texas.” She was presented the honor by Michael Bublé and emotionally thanked her fans. Not long after, Langley received the award for single of the year for the same song.
Langley collaborated with Riley Green, and their duet “Don’t Mind if I Do” received music event of the year. Her winning streak continued as she accepted the female artist of the year award. Langley expressed gratitude to the women who encouraged her.
Meanwhile, Johnson delivered an inspiring speech upon winning entertainer of the year, dedicating his award to Luke Combs. He also took home the male artist of the year trophy.
The ceremony commenced with Lainey Wilson opening with her dynamic single “Can’t Sit Still.” Performers such as Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett, and Jordan Davis kept the energy high with remarkable performances.
Avery Anna performed “Bang Bang,” reimagining Nancy Sinatra’s classic, while Zach Top and Green also delighted the audience with their hits. Little Big Town and The Red Clay Strays captivated with their performances.
New host Shania Twain opened the event, celebrating 30 years since winning her first ACM Award and acknowledging the women in country music.
The Red Clay Strays were named group of the year. Brooks & Dunn picked up duo of the year, showcasing their enduring popularity.
Prior to Sunday’s event, several trophies found recipients. Among them were Ella Langley as artist-songwriter of the year, Jessie Jo Dillon as songwriter of the year, and Stephen Wilson Jr. for visual media of the year. New female and new male artist of the year went to Anna Wetmore and Tucker Wetmore.
Additional standout performances came from artists like Carter Faith, Kacey Musgraves, and Kane Brown. The coveted album of the year was awarded to Parker McCollum for his self-titled release.
Dan + Shay delivered an emotionally charged “Say So,” dedicated to Ben Vaughn, followed by Blake Shelton’s rendition of “The Gambler.” This song, written by Don Schlitz and performed by Kenny Rogers, remains a significant crossover hit.
The 2026 ACM Awards were broadcast on Prime Video, Twitch, and the Amazon Music app, sharing country music’s magic through multiple platforms.
