Chicago police launched a death investigation on Saturday following the discovery of a man’s body inside a garbage container in an alley in Austin. Authorities found the unidentified male just after 1:30 p.m. in the 4700 block of West Arthington Street.
Preliminary reports indicated that the man was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy was scheduled for Sunday to determine the cause of death. The condition of the body and whether there appeared to be any trauma were not disclosed as detectives from the Harrison Area continued their investigation.
