1 hour ago 0

A member of the group known as Zizians has been charged with murder in connection with the shooting of her parents in Pennsylvania. The incident occurred on her 30th birthday. Prosecutors announced that she was not acting alone in this crime.

Investigation and Charges

Delaware County District Attorney Tanner Rouse stated that evidence, including data from a neighbor’s doorbell camera and cellphone records, indicated Michelle Zajko’s involvement. Rita and Richard Zajko were found dead in their home, shot in a room filled with childhood memorabilia on New Year’s Eve 2022.

Authorities revealed that video captured two individuals arriving at the Zajkos’ home. Shouts of “Mom!” and “Oh my God! Oh, God, God!” were recorded. Evidence linked ballistic findings and shell casings to Zajko’s activity in Vermont. Investigators suspect she was part of the conspiracy, although they have not identified her accomplices.

Zajko’s Legal Situation

Michelle Zajko currently faces charges including murder and conspiracy. She has denied the accusations, suggesting a different narrative in court filings. She indicated her father might have been responsible for the killings. Despite her denial, prosecutors believe she orchestrated the deaths. Zajko has been held on related charges in Maryland since February 2025.

Connection to Zizian Group

Authorities classified Michelle Zajko as a person of interest for some time. The Zizians, associated with radical beliefs about veganism and artificial intelligence, have faced legal battles across different states. Relatives of victims express waiting years for justice due to the complex nature of cases involving Zizian members.

The group has been connected to multiple violent incidents since 2022. These incidents encompassed cases from California to Vermont, involving configured crimes like shootings and confrontations with law enforcement.

Ongoing Investigation

Along with Zajko, other members face various charges. The group leader, Jack “Ziz” LaSota, deals with federal gun charges. Allegations indicate members were engaged in illegal activities, including trespassing and illegal possession of firearms.

Michelle Zajko also faces accusations regarding the death of a U.S. Border Patrol agent, although investigations in that case are pending. An earlier incident saw her briefly detained in Pennsylvania.

Family’s Perspective

Richard Zajko’s sister-in-law, Roseanne, conveyed gratitude for the ongoing legal efforts. She emphasized the enduring patience and hope for justice within the family.

The prosecutor acknowledged the harrowing details of the crime, calling it incomprehensible. Unanswered questions persist about the family’s estrangement and lead-up to the tragic events.

This incident, as perceived by many, highlights deep-rooted issues within the accused’s personal dynamics, leading to irreversible outcomes.
